Personally, I have never been one for school and spending long hours outside of it doing homework. Especially when there are so many other opportunities to grow your career and make money. So if you’re like me, here are my Top Ten career opportunities for 2019.
Becoming an Affiliate Marketer
So this is my complete bias opinion because I am an affiliate marketer and it has done more for me in the last year than my previous overnight job during the 3 years I was there. The thing about affiliate marketing is that it is purely based around my own efforts and not around someones else’s decision on whether I am worthy of a raise or not. Electricians
Have power outages? These men (or ladies) are the ones to call and becoming one yourself is as easy as getting the license for it. There a plenty of trade schools and community colleges that offer classes and it typically takes around 6 months to a year to get certified as an apprentice. Electricians average an annual pay of 56,000/yr and up, while apprentices typically start around 35,000/yr.
Wind Turbine Tech
It’s 2019 and we’re evolving from oil rigs to green energy so why not start your career in repairing the most critical par? Like Electricians, this job only requires a certification to get started. The average salary of Wind Techs comes in at around $53,000/yr USD.
Patrol Officer
I know a lot of people that went to college to become police officers before the academy and even though it does help you secure a position, there are many officers that got in by ONLY going through the police training academy. The average Officer makes around $60,000/yr USD. Plus, officers get amazing benefits and overtime.
LVN/ LPN
This and the next one on this list aren’t here because of their average pay but rather because of their ability to advance within the company through experience and testing. The Licensed Vocation Nurse/ Licensed Practical Nurse provide basic medical care to patients and/or residents in their facility. Average annual salary- around $45,000/yr USD.
Pharmacy Technician
With an average annual salary of around $30,000/yr USD, the Pharmacy Technician usually gets their training from the company they work for. They work with their pharmacist, handing prescriptions to customers, tracking inventory, taking calls, and a few other things.
Radiation Therapist
If you become certified in Radiology than you’re almost guaranteed to never be without work. Radiologist or Radiation Therapists treat cancer using high tech machines to provide treatment. Their average annual salary, you ask? Around $80,000/yr USD
Plumber
Being a plumber isn’t just about coming into a home and laying pipe… They also replace piping systems, decode and follow blueprints, and of course, install pipe. Their average annual salary is about $52,000/yr USD
Commercial Pilot
With an average annual salary that reaches the sky, the commercial pilot only has to be approved by the FAA to take home their share of $77,000/yr USD. Commercial Pilots usually spend their days crop dusting and taking aerial photographs but can also be sent on rescue missions and help firefighters.
Real Estate Broker
Being a real estate broker, it’s all about commission and those commissions can be extremely lucrative. All you need is to pass licensing exams and you can get started. Unfortunately, because of the amount of people doing it, growing within this career can be slow if not done correctly. Also, it’s best to start with some form of reliable income to invest in your real estate.

If you’re not the type to go through a full four-year degree plan, fear not. There are still plenty opportunities out there for you and they are not limited to the ones on this list either.
