Fashion

Wearing a custom tailored suit, low hanging chains, or a billion dollar watch doesn’t make you fashionable… Well, maybe a custom tailored suit does but I don’t own one so how else could we be fashionable? Good question. Here is where I’ll be sharing those secrets with you.

Your MANLY look

The biggest reasons why a lot of men aren’t seen as being fashionable isn’t because they thrift shop (I love a good thrift binge). The reason is because they don’t actually know HOW to dress. They buy clothes that don’t fit their individual body shapes and they wear socks with sandals. Shopping for clothes is easy, especially when you have amazing online deals like those seen on amazon. Unfortunately, not everyone knows how to properly wear them, so here are my top ten tips on how to dress fashionably.

Accessories

Accessories are a must but an abundance of anything is bad so be sure to go with a simple and slick vibe when wearing accessories. A watch, that matches your belt and shoes, with a simple texture would look a lot more masculine than an oversized diamond band that makes your wrist look like a tooth pick. If you don’t own any nice watches that check out these OLEVS and for a limited time they’re %50 off!

Be a Peacock

Colour is always a key factor in fashionable men. As tempting as it is to fill your closet with full black attire and a leather jacket to match, adding colour to your wardrobe puts your manliness from 6 to an easy 9.5.

Subtle Yet Enticing

On the other hand, your underwear should be a plain dark colour so when you get down to the good stuff with your partner, they will be mesmerized by the subtle maturity of the manly pair of undergear.

Learn to Tie a Tie

Learn to tie a tie. That’s it. Every man should know how to tie his tie. I’ll be sure to update this article with a how-to video in the near future when I learn how.

Diverse Footwear

Own a pair of brown, black, and white shoes at the LEAST. Those three colours can be matched with any palette of colours you choose. When i say shoes, i don’t mean sneakers. I mean proper manly chukkas.

“Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better”

Always dress one step above the occasion. If you know everyone will be in a casual t-shirt and jeans than you should be in a casual button-down with jeans. If they will be in button-downs and slacks than you should be in a button-down, with a tie, slacks, and of course, a nice business jacket. It’s always better to be overdressed than under dressed. Plus, being a bit overdressed adds presence and gives you the needed boost in confidence that all men should be wearing just like their watches.

The Look of Sophistication

Like watches, some accessories automatically add bonus points toward the manliness meter. The other accessory that all men should have at least one of is a nice, slick pair of glasses. Bonus tip: Silver matches with almost anything. Be sure to know which lens design fits your face best.

Fitted is The Best Fit

When you can, get your clothes custom and tailored. Every well dressed man will tell you that one of the biggest mistakes guys make is wearing clothes that don’t properly fit them. Shirts that are too big, jeans that are too baggy, or shorts that are just way too short. Common mistakes made but fatal to your manliness, nonetheless.

So Many Choices, So Little Time

Have a variety of outerwear. Sweaters, thin layer jackets, leather jackets, bombers, and ect. Don’t skimp on outerwear because it can make or break the perfect outfit.

Be In Good Company

I am sure you’ve heard the saying, “you are who you hang with” or something like that. If you want to learn to be fashionable than why not start by surrounding yourself with people who have already picked up the skill. Real men know when to follow a great leader so that they can learn to lead greatly themselves.
